So if you don’t already have it installed, you’ll need to install it before installing any of the apps in this article. It doesn’t come with your Mac and it isn’t created by Apple. It should also be noted that Homebrew is a third-party package manager. Unlike the App Store, however, this isn’t monitored by Apple, so you’ll want to get some confirmation that the apps you’re downloading are safe (every app in this post is verified to be safe). For instance, the sudo command can’t be used by Homebrew, which prevents access to certain levels of your computer.
